I ricercatori di CORESEARCH sono stati fra i precursori nello sviluppo delle metodologie, nell’identificazione degli indicatori e nella valutazione dell’impatto della qualità dell’assistenza su parametri clinici, sociali ed economici, dapprima in ambito oncologico e successivamente in diabetologia.

Fra le attività in corso, grazie alla collaborazione con l’Associazione Medici Diabetologi (AMD), CORESEARCH è responsabile, nell’ambito di un progetto di miglioramento continuo, del supporto metodologico e dell’analisi della qualità dell’assistenza erogata da 300 strutture diabetologiche su tutto il territorio nazionale a oltre mezzo milione di assistiti. Tali valutazioni sono condotte annualmente e pubblicate sotto forma di Annali AMD e Monografie degli Annali AMD.

CORESEARCH è inoltre impegnata nell’identificazione di nuovi indicatori di qualità dell’assistenza che includano le misure centrate sulla persona (qualità di vita, soddisfazione), ritenute sempre più importanti nella gestione delle patologie croniche.
Un ulteriore ambito di approfondimento include la medicina di genere e la valutazione dei profili assistenziali nei due sessi.
